My view is that therapy isn’t just about solving problem situations or alleviating symptoms, it’s about helping you take your growth further—to help you become more fully you. The kinds of changes that can be made in the course of therapy vary widely depending on what your individual goals are and the directions you wish to pursue.

Individual Sessions: What You Can Expect
In the first session or two, the focus will be on assessing your needs from a holistic perspective, and on beginning to develop goals.

From there, a typical counselling session revolves around helping you to:
• feel validated and deeply understood
• identify and connect more fully with your personal strengths
• find new ways of seeing yourself and/or your situation
• respond in a nurturing and effective way to different emotions
• actively apply practical and essential skills for emotional strengthening  & healing
